Christmas at Presqu'ile Arts and Crafts Show

NEW AND UNIQUE CRAFTS AT CHRISTMAS AT PRESQU’ILE

Originally known as Christmas by the Bay, Christmas at Presqu’ile, one of Eastern Ontario’s premier juried Arts and Crafts Show, celebrates the 20th Season this year at Presqu'ile Provincial Park, Brighton, Ontario.

Each year, successful Artisans present new and unique work for display and sale at the Show.

Set in the Park and presented in two beautiful Heritage homes and a modern Lighthouse Interpretive Centre ... all overlooking Lake Ontario, Christmas at Presqu’ile draws thousands of visitors during the first two weekends of November (and the middle Wednesday) to view the professionally arranged displays of juried Arts and Crafts.

Artisans from all across the province must go through a careful jurying process to have their work accepted for display and sale.  Their selected works of art and crafts are organized and displayed by a group of knowledgeable Friends of Presqu’ile volunteers throughout the 10 room main venue ... The Christmas House, a Heritage home by the Lake.

Next door, in Stonehedge, a Heritage Mansion, visitors can sit down and enjoy the Tearoom, offering our now famous Rum Cake, hot drinks, and a spectacular view of Lake Ontario.

The Park’s modern Interpretive Centre, located next to the Presqu’ile Lighthouse is transformed during the Show into an Art Gallery featuring the work of well known professional Artists.  This year the Gallery hosted Doug Comeau, Rose Brown and Linda Barber.

Christmas at Presqu’ile, presented by the Friends of Presqu’ile Provincial Park offers the following:
- Free Entrance to Presqu’ile Provincial Park during the Show.
- The juried Arts and Crafts of over 140 Artisans.
- Free entrance to all of the Park’s buildings.
- Free parking ... guided by volunteers.
- A treat before you enter the Christmas House.
- Helpful volunteers located throughout the Christmas House to help you with any questions or choices.
- Signage to guide you throughout your journey to this once a year event.

Christmas at Presqu’ile benefits from the contributions of over 300 Volunteers who work on every phase of the Show.  You, your friends and family are sure to enjoy your visit to this wonderful beginning of the Christmas Season.

All proceeds from the Show are invested in the Friend’s Interpretive and Educational programs in Presqu’ile Provincial Park.  The Friends of Presqu'ile is an all volunteer organization and is proud to report that 99% of every dollar contributed is invested in our programs.

In 2011, the 20th Christmas at Presqu'ile Arts and Crafts Show will be held on November 5-6, 9, 12-13, from 10 am to 4 pm. Just follow the signs from the Park entrance.
