Christmas at Presqu'ile, one of Eastern Ontario's premier juried Arts and Craft Shows, returns for the 27th year on November 3rd. The show runs for five days - November 3,4,7,10 and 11, 2018 in beautiful Presqu'ile Provincial Park.
Over 140 local artisans and crafters have been carefully selected to showcase their talents this year. You will find beautiful pottery, hand crafted jewelry, Christmas crafts, knitted goods, baby gifts, wall hangings, stained glass, wreaths, baked goods and housewares. Among the new products this year are wire creations, paintings and photos on wood, new pottery artists, air plants, alpaca socks, loomed hats and natural skin products.
The show takes place in the Christmas House, a 10 room heritage home by the lake. After shopping, you can walk next door to the Tea Room at Stonehedge where you can sample our famous rum cake and other sweet treats. Finally, you should head over to the Park’s Interpretive Centre, adjacent to the lighthouse. Here you will find an Art Gallery featuring the work of two well-known professional artists. Doug Comeau is a self-taught artist who achieves an amazing realistic quality in the medium of graphite, charcoal and coloured pencil. Linda Barber works in acrylics with as brush or palette knife to bring her talent to the fore in waterscapes, birches, landscapes and fields and meadows. Her command of colour is amazing! The art sale and the Friends of Presqu’ile Gift Shop will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. during the Show.
Christmas at Presqu'ile Arts and Crafts Show 2018 is presented by The Friends of Presqu'ile Provincial Park—a volunteer run charitable organization. All proceeds from the Show and Raffle are invested in The Friends’ interpretive and educational programs in Presqu’ile Provincial Park. Admission to the Park and the Show is free and there are plenty of helpful volunteers to assist you with parking.
