Hello fellow members and supporters. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your generous donations and time allocated towards our great organization this year.
Here are just a few updates as it pertains to the Board of Directors. Over the course of the summer and fall months, we have filled several vacant positions.
Our new director- at-large is Christy Trescher. Christy is a long-time lover of the outdoors and the community of Brighton. She currently dedicates her time as an occasional teacher with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.
Our corporate secretary is Catherine Lariviere. Catherine comes to us after holding a position as administrative assistant with the Trenton United Church. Her background abilities lend themselves nicely to being the corporate secretary for the Friends organization.
Our new treasurer is Patti Sharpe. She is an outdoor enthusiast and animal lover who has served as a board member for Brighton by the Bay and is a retired elementary school teacher. She is an alumnus of Sandbanks Provincial Park. Patti welcomes the opportunity to work alongside the board in managing the finances. We now have a full complement of directors around the board table.
We are excited to now focus on finishing our 2025 projects and endeavours, as well as looking into 2026 with fresh new ideas. Planning and implementing plans are key to success. With that now said, I trust you will enjoy reading the articles as presented in this fall newsletter.
Until the snow flies, keep walking the trails and enjoying the park.
