Park and Friends Events
Presqu'ile Provincial Park in cooperation with the Friends of Presqu'ile Park offer seasonal educational programming, as well as special events, to the public. Unless stated, all programs are free with park admission. Daily Vehicle Permits are required for park entry at all times of the year. The calendar on this page indicates the timing of any special events or opening hours of visitor centres. Click on the event name in the calendar for more details.

Waterfowl Weekend
World-class waterfowl viewing during the spring migration. Volunteer naturalists will help you view and identify over 25 different species of ducks, geese, and swans.
May 20 & 21, 6:30AM to 4:00PM
Warblers and Whimbrels Weekend
View the elusive Whimbrels and many colourful Warblers as they migrate to their northern nesting grounds. Fundraiser BBQ at the Lighthouse 11am to 1pm. Lighthouse Gift Shop will be open 10am to 4pm. Details will be available closer to the date on this page and on Facebook.

Mammal Day
Join us for our 4th annual Mammal Day. A day dedicated to the mammals that call Presqu'ile home, from the tiny bats to the large White-tailed Deer and everything in between. Details will be available closer to the date and on Facebook.
July 29
Party in the Park - 35th Anniversary of the Friends of Presqu'ile
Enjoy live music by Terry Denyes and the Brighton All Star Show Band as we celebrate our 35th anniversary! The band, complete with vocals, 8 piece horns and full rhythm section, will be playing all yoru favourite dance, blues, and rock hits. Bring a lawn chair for this outdoor events, to be held in the field beside the Amphitheatre in Presqu'ile's Campgrounds. This event is FREE with park admission (daily vehicle permit or seasonal pass) for the public and campers. Free cupcakes will be served uring the event. A fundraising barbecue will be held BEFORE the event, from 5pm to 7pm, with hamburgers, sausages, peameal bacon on a bun, soft drinks and snacks. A rain date will be announced at a later date.

History Weekend
Relive Presqu’ile’s storied past and take part in events. Participate in old-fashioned field games, children’s boat-building bee and regatta, ghost walks, a history play, and more. Details will be available closer to the date and on Facebook.

Species at Risk Day
Join us for our 5th annual Species at Risk Day. Discover more about the species at risk that call Presqu'ile home and meet some special guests. 10am - 12pm: BioBlitz and Scavenger Hunt in Calf Pasture. 2pm to 4pm: Fun Fair at the Amphitheatre. 7pm: Live animal presentation at the Amphitheatre.
