Ontario Parks' natural and cultural history education program

Our spring interpretive program is centred around two of our birding weekend events and on guided hikes on select weekends in June. See the Special Events section to the right for more information about our Waterfowl Festival, held in mid-March, and our Warblers and Whimbrels weekend held on the May long weekend.
June is an under-utilized time of the year at Presqu'ile but if you are interested in nature it's a great time to be at the park. Most of our summer resident birds are on territory and singing their hearts out to let us know they are here. Vegetation is lush and insect diversity, particularly dragonflies, is at a peak.
In the summer, our daily programs are on a two-week rotation. Current schedules are posted in the park. Contact Presqu'ile's Chief Park Naturalist at 613 475 4324, ext-225 to have the schedule sent to you.
Whether you join a walk, go to an evening presentation at the amphitheatre, attend a children's program (parents welcome!), or join us at a campfire, you are sure to have a good time and come away more knowledgeable about Ontario's natural and cultural heritage as represented here at Presqu'ile.
